Vacuum Forming
Precision Bore Tubing
We manufacture glass tubing to suit your specific application. Sizes ranging from 0.1mm to 152.4mm (6") are available from our large stock. If you require a particular size to fit an existing piece of equipment we can produce this for you.
Flowmeters
We manufacture flowmeter tubes to O.E.M. specifications. Many companies throughout the world rely on GPE to produce their vacuum formed flowmeter tubes.
Glassblowing
Our scientific glassblowers can produce specials to your design. During the last 45 years we have established an international reputation for producing industrial and research glassblowing products to the highest standard. We have supplied our productsworldwide to pharmaceutical companies, oil, avionics and telecommunications industries as well as universities and hospitals.
Specialist Grinding, Cutting and Graduation
Centreless Grinding
If you require tight tolerance glass tubes and rods our glass engineers can process borosilicate, quartz and other glasses from 0.75 - 150mm Diameter. Tolerances from + or - 0.005mm Diameter.
Centreless Polishing
We polish centreless ground tubes and rods to a polished transparent finish.
Parallel Grinding of Tube Ends
Often a necessity in highly sophisticated apparatus, this is one of GPE's specialities.
Grinding of Flats/Steps on Tube/Rod Ends
Often required when glass tubes and rods need to fit in to existing equipment.
Drilling
Using precision diamond tools and ultrasonics we can drill holes to your specification.
Polishing
We polish the outside diameters of ground tubes and rods to transparent finish.
Cutting
Tubes, rods and discs cut to the highest tolerances.
Graduation
Acid etching, screen printing and ceramic labels are all part of the graduation service.
