Centreless Ground and Polished Rod

Rod can be processed in high borosilicate, quartz and other glasses from 0.5mm up to 60mm in diameter.

GPE supply such items as; glass pistons for corrosive fluid pumps, metering pumps, syringes etc and also lengths of rod in various materials processed to 0.013mm tolerances both in ground and polished finishes. Maximum length depends on diameter.

Flats and other shapes can be processed in to the ends of rods.

Centreless Ground and Polished Tubing

Precision ID with precision OD tubing, concentric to internal axis.

Tubing is available in precision bore to high precision tolerance of  ± 0.01mm and can be supplied processed on the outside diameter to a tolerance of ± 0.013mm.

Normally the outside diameter has a satin finish and is opaque in appearance, however this can be polished to a transparent finish if required. The wall of the tubing can be produced parallel to the internal axis and ends can be machined square.
